Biography

Pil-Woo Kim joined Indiana Wesleyan University in July 2014 as the School of Health Sciences anatomy lab manager and assistant professor of anatomy. Previously, Dr. Kim taught anatomy classes for nine years at Life University in Marietta, George. In total, Dr. Kim has taught anatomy and neuroanatomy for over 16 years.
Dr. Kim was born and raised in Korea. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the School of Basic Science, Sangji University (Korea) and then moved to the USA to complete his graduate studies. He enrolled in a veterinarian school in Tennessee, but soon discovered that he had severe allergies to animal hairs. Sensing God wanted him to go into the human health care field, he moved to Life University to complete a chiropractic degree. At Life University, he was elected to the national dean’s list, earned a Korean-American scholarship and worked as a lab assistant in the dissection lab.
Following graduation, Dr. Kim was hired by Life University as a full-time instructor. He became a highly experienced anatomist who has come to understand the variations of the human body as a result of dissecting over 100 cadavers. He has had the privilege of reporting his findings in the cadaver lab at many science conferences. Dr. Kim continues his research and teaching at IWU, and is passionate about the knowledge he can impart to students who, in turn, use their education to save people.
