Lesley Barton teaches art therapy and child life classes at Indiana Wesleyan University. She has a passion to help students explore these fields both professionally and personally.  Lesley’s focus in her career is to help children and families become healthier- physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. Lesley and her husband, Rob, a United Methodist pastor, have five wonderful children at home. They love to hike on the Appalachian Trail and go on nature adventures as a family.

Lesley is an adoptive mother and a therapeutic foster mother, and has a passion for orphan care.  As a registered art therapist, she has worked a great deal with grief and loss issues as well as attachment issues.  She serves on the Board of Directors of Embrace the Orphan. As a certified Child Life Specialist and Developmental Therapist, she also has a heart for children with medical diagnoses, developmental delays and children who have experienced trauma.
