Lee Ann Hawkins
Biography
Lee Ann Hawkins joined IWU in 2013 as a full time faculty member for the DNP program. Her teaching focus includes statistics, grant writing, writing for publication, and informatics. Lee Ann’s 30 plus years of nursing practice includes critical care, management of a cardio-thoracic surgical ICU, and home care. As a nurse practitioner she managed a heart failure clinic and conducted cardiovascular research. She was awarded nurse investigator of the year by the Heart Failure Society of America in 2011, and is a member of the IRB at IWU and the Loma Linda VA Medical Center.
