 Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Jennifer Noseworthy is an Associate Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University in the Division of Natural Sciences, teaching biology, specializing in plant biology. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Gordon College in 2002, a master's degree in horticultural science from University of Florida in 2005 and a doctorate in plant biology from the University of New Hampshire in 2012. Following graduate school, she served as a member of the biology faculty at Gordon College for five years before joining Indiana Wesleyan University in 2018.

Dr. Jennifer Noseworthy's primary research interests include improving nutritional content in vegetables and its impact on human nutrition. She conducted a comprehensive study of carotenoid profiles of winter squash (Cucurbita spp.) and sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) aimed at improving varieties of squash and sweet potato by selecting for higher carotenoid content. She is currently focusing on the accumulation of lycopene in tomato grown under greenhouse conditions using light-emitting diode supplemental lighting. Her other interests include organic and sustainable food production, greenhouse plant propagation, and tissue culture.
