Biography

Denise has taught nursing for 20+ years and has been teaching at Indiana Wesleyan University since 2008.  My clinical background has been pediatric, med-surg, critical care, and community health nursing.  I have been a family nurse practitioner since 2012 and currently work in a Wellness setting.  I am married with two adult daughters.  We live in the country with our two rat terriers.  I enjoy gardening and spending time with family.  I am active in my church and enjoy attending church functions.

Interests

I like to be involved in my community.  I volunteer at Bridges to Health as an NP and I serve on the Miami County Child Abuse Prevention Council.  I have led transcultural trips to Belize and the Appalachia.  My research areas of interest include nursing students and lifestyle. I am a member of Eta Chi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.
