Biography

Dr. Boyd Johnson is a professor in the Ph.D. program in the Department of Leadership Studies. He has written a book on global issues and change, and edited four others on international business, intercultural ministry, and other subjects. Dr. Johnson has over 35 years of experience in international development and higher education, has lived in seven countries, and has carried out teaching, training, consulting, and research in over 60 nations. He teaches courses on research methods and a course on critical inquiry in the doctoral program in Organizational Leadership.

Research Interests

Dr. Johnson's research interests include cross-cultural leadership and communication, with particular focus on the cross-cultural transferability of leadership theories. He currently is carrying out an extended research project in three countries in Eastern Europe. He also has studied and published on global development, third-world poverty and change, and the role of ideologies in societies.
