Professor Andre Payne has been serving as a full-time faculty member since the fall of 2017. He began his career in marketing and sales management where he received a number of sales awards before transitioning into higher education. Since then he has been able to acquire a unique combination of experiences within Christian higher education, which include academic advising, marketing, fundraising, teaching, and instructional design.

Prior to becoming full-time faculty at Indiana Wesleyan University, he served as the Director of the Taylor Fund at Taylor University where he successfully led his team to the tune of $1.7 million each year he was there. Andre is currently in his final year of doctoral studies where he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University.

In addition to having over 12 years of professional experience, he also has a passion for ensuring his students understand how the holistic approach to learning (personal, spiritual, and professional) can help them achieve in every field of human endeavor. It is this desire that has brought him into a career in Christian higher education. Andre considers his amazing family as one of his greatest accomplishments, which includes his wife (Eleese), daughter (Nevaeh) and dog (Prince). In their spare time, they enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, community service and committing their lives to serving God’s Kingdom.
