Biography
Becky Allen-Gull is a second-career nurse. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Anderson University. She was in the first Transition to the Nursing cohort at Indiana Wesleyan University. Becky spent her nursing career in surgery at St. Vincent's Anderson and St. Vincent's Fishers. Becky is an Assistant Professor in the Pre-licensure Nursing program in Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing. She was first an adjunct clinical instructor for 5 years, working in OB and Med Surge. She is currently teaching Foundations in Nursing, Adult Health, Ethics and Advocacy in Human Trafficking, and Trauma-Informed Care.
Her clinical expertise includes: Adult Health, Med Surg, OB, and Senior Leadership and Management Practicum. She enjoys being able to discuss in class what she experiences in clinical, preparing her freshman students for their clinical.
She is married to Scott and has a blended family of 5 children ranging in age from 16-21. She is active in her home church, volunteers with local charities, and usually can be found working in the garden, in the flower beds, or on another project on her family's 70-acre farm.
Interests
Passionate about pursuing new opportunities for transcultural experiences. In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Becky Allen-Gull led a transcultural trip to Italy to study the Health Care environment and Italian culture.
In 2019 and 2020 Becky Allen-Gull took nursing students to the Grand Cayman and visited hospitals and observed Caymanian student nurses.
Gull served as Director of Indiana Wesleyan University Summer Camp in 2018 and 2019. The week-long overnight camp is for high school juniors and seniors who are considering majoring in a nursing career.
