Katie Wampler

Biography

Dr. Katie Wampler has worked with professional and amateur theatre companies in both the United States and Europe in positions ranging from director, co-director or producer for over 30 productions.

She served as a missionary in Bristol, England, where she ran a drama club, worked with an amateur dramatics group and was a stage manager for the Portway Players.

While pursuing her Master of Arts in theatre from Emerson College, she worked with two professional theatre companies in multiple capacities, including arts administration and production roles.

Why did you decide to teach at IWU?

I went to a small Christian school for my undergrad, where I learned about theatre and faith. I wanted to be part of a community that valued faith and the arts.  

Hobbies:

Traveling, photography, zip lining and four wheeling
