Biography

Pam enjoys life. Becoming a Christian remains the most important decision of her life, and Christ continues to give peace, hope, and direction for decisions, details, and dilemmas. Married to her college sweetheart Phil, they have three adult children who are all married. Two grandsons receive much attention and love. She is an active member of her local church and enjoys many aspects of being part of a faith fellowship. In addition to working as an assistant professor at IWU, she works part-time at Marion General Hospital as the Parish Nurse Coordinator within the Community Outreach Department.

After several years working in Maternity nursing and public health nursing, she and her family moved to Sierra Leone, Africa where they served as Wesleyan missionaries until the civil war prohibited their family from returning. Transcultural experiences continue to have great joy and interest for her. As often as her schedule and assignments permit, she accompanies senior students to Zambia for the semester abroad experience.
