Biography

Carol A Williams serves as Assistant Professor of Nursing, in the Division of Pre-Licensure Nursing, at Indiana Wesleyan University.  She presently teaches Nursing leadership and Management; Principles of Intervention; and Adult Health 3 Clinical. 

She has previous experience in nursing education as both staff development and schools of nursing.  She has provided clinical staff development at Ball Memorial Hospital, Community Health Network, and James River Nursing Home.  She has worked in several schools of nursing.

 

Interests

Professor Williams’ research interests and areas of expertise include medical- surgical, emergency, nursing education, management and leadership, leading teams, the use of technology in nursing education and practice, and innovation in nursing education.  Additionally, she is interested in health care reform and population health.

Professor Williams’ has 5 children and 6 grandchildren. She is active in her church working with youth and college age.  She enjoys traveling, cooking, and competes or judges with her husband in professional BBQ competitions.
