Biography

Patty Johnston

Born and raised in rural Western Pennsylvania, Patti Lynn Johnston has worked predominantly with non-profit and public sectors agencies throughout her career in the fields of accounting and management.  Following eight years as Comptroller, Mrs. Johnston has been the General Manager for the past six years of a public transit agency in rural Armstrong County.  While working in public transportation for the past 14 years, Patti Lynn has developed an empathy for those dependent on public transportation, especially in rural areas, who often find themselves with fewer resources available than their urban counterparts.  Her doctoral dissertation topic was born from this understanding.

Mrs. Johnston joined Indiana Wesleyan University in November 2008 as an online adjunct professor teaching business courses including Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Management and Leadership, Organizational Leadership, and Human Resources Development. Patti Lynn first accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a teenager, developed a love of learning to study the Bible from her dad (her favorite topic to study is peace), and continues to grow in her relationship with and love for the Lord.

Patti Lynn, a mother of two daughters, has been married to her husband, Michael for two years.  Patti Lynn, Michael, three Golden Retrievers, and three cats currently reside in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.
