Biography

Dr. Steve ScheerDr. Steve Scheer is a full-time professor of Economics and Business at Franklin College, in Franklin, IN. Steve has been involved in instruction of business and economics courses for almost twenty five years; having instructed for Indiana Wesleyan University, Huntington University, Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana Institute of Technology, and Franklin College. He has instructed in the traditional classroom; accelerated adult, and online formats; and is a certified online instructor.

Many of Dr. Scheer’s early years in education were in an adjunct role while he was engaged full-time in the business world. His extensive experience includes time as a vice-president of sales, a marketing manager, a manager of a distribution/logistics department, and a sales manager. He served in those roles in the chemical specialty, metal stamping, and building material industries. He has also served as executive director of a solid waste management district.

Steve has been married to his wife Liz for nearly 39 years and has two sons. One son is a physician, and the other is a wine maker.

Publications

Dr. Scheer is the author of The A-B-C’s of M-G-T for the O-R-G, 2nd Edition. It is a guide to organizational leadership, and, as the title implies, the book uses letters and words arranged in easy to remember acronyms and plays on words to deliver important ideas and implementation suggestions for anyone who leads or aspires to lead organizations.
