Besides her love for teaching and giving back to her students, Juanita is very involved in giving back to her community. As a music teacher, she assists with teaching “Chozen”, her church youth choir. In addition, Juanita and her music team visit Cook County Prison every year to minister in music concerts for women and men who are incarcerated. For the past four years, Juanita has had the opportunity to join All Nations Choir with members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and combine Gospel and Classical Music for an amazing Christmas Cantata presented to the community free of charge. This event, along with yearly Easter Drama’s, All Nations Choir Gospel Concerts, Thanksgiving Community Service “Miracle on 127th Street”, weddings, funerals, and baby dedications are just a few of the many ways Juanita gives back to her community and shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of music.

Personal Testimony

As a young child, I gave my heart to Jesus and knew that working in His Kingdom was my destiny. All my life, the gift of music has been dedicated to worship God and to bless the lives of others. Every weekend at the Lighthouse Church of All Nations, we have three services where 6,000 members comprised of over 73 ethnic nationalities walk through the doors to worship and praise God.  It is always my joy when lives are changed and hearts turned towards God.

Teaching, sharing with others, multiplying the gifts God has given to me and fulfilling His will is the desire of my heart. This is my purpose and what I was born to do.  I am always and forever thankful to God for His goodness and many blessings in my life. It is a joy and honor to be a part of the Indiana Wesleyan University Family and to teach at this wonderful Christian University. To God be All the Glory!
