Biography

Joseph Lynch

Dr. Joseph Lynch is a retired United Methodist Minister. He also served in the U.S. Army, in Vietnam, for two years.  Presently, Dr. Lynch is a Director of Religious Education for the U.S. Army Garrison at West Point, New York.  In this position, he works with the Catholic faith community in meeting their spiritual needs through religious education.  Dr. Lynch oversees a growing and vibrant Sunday morning program as well as the sacramental preparation instructions for adults. Additionally, Dr. Lynch works with USMA cadets who serve as volunteers throughout the religious education programs.

Dr. Lynch teaches Healthcare Marketing courses in the DeVoe School of Business as well as courses for Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Tabor College, and St. Thomas Aquinas College.

Dr. Lynch came to know Christ during his high school years, having been influenced by a U.S. Navy chaplain and his family, Youth for Christ rallies, and an article in Redbook magazine about a former convict who became a Baptist missionary to Columbia.  It was after reading that article that Dr. Lynch made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord on November 27, 1964.  Joe and his wife Carol currently live in West Point, New York.
