Barbara Wise

Biography

Barbara Wise is an Associate Professor of Graduate Nursing in Indiana Wesleyan University's School of Nursing. Dr. Wise has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 20 years, and an RN for 30 years. She has worked in a variety of FNP positions, including a community health center, health department, prison, and school-based health center. She joined the Primary Care NP faculty at IWU in 2012. She is the PYC coordinator for Ohio and Kentucky.

Interests

Dr. Wise’s current research interests include the social development of children and adolescents with ADHD, and clinical NP education. Other research areas include social network analysis and smoking initiation among adolescents with ADHD. She is vice president of Eta Chi, IWU’s Sigma Theta Tau chapter.
