Biography
Investing in the personal and professional development of people is inspiring to me! Serving as a professor in higher education has provided opportunities for me to do just that. I enjoy investing in local communities through volunteerism and serving on nonprofit boards. I was born and raised on the plains of North Dakota by the son of a homesteader and a World War II refugee. Attending Bethel College in St. Paul, MN was a blessing in many ways I never expected—for one thing, Steve Lee was on my welcome week staff and was later to become a dear friend, lab partner, boyfriend, and husband (in that order)!
