Pamela Harrison
Biography
Dr. Harrison was transplanted to Indiana from Virginia in 1978 and has come to love the Midwest and Indiana Wesleyan University. As the first member of her family to graduate from college, she first studied at a diploma nursing school in Virginia and graduated from George Mason University. She later completed an M.S.N. and Ed.D. in Adult and Higher Education from Ball State University. She is a professor in Pre-licensure Nursing, serves as Pre-licensure chair, and teaches Leadership and Management, Pathophysiology, and Disaster Nursing.
Dr. Harrison has been married for more than 45 years to Dr. Albert Harrison, chair of the Music Department at Taylor University, and they share a love of traveling. They have two sons - Justin (Carla) of Chicago, Illinois, and Ben (Laura) of Grand Rapids, Michigan and 2 amazing grandchildren - Jonas and Sophie. She is an active member and parish nurse at Upland Community Church.

Interests
Dr. Harrison's scholarship is outlined in her Curriculum Vitae. She serves as research adviser for John Wesley Honors College nursing students and graduate nursing students and loves working with students interested in research and a future in nursing education. She collaborated with Dr. Sharon Schulling and 19 IWU students in a research project in northern China and works with Marion General Hospital every three years to complete the Grant County community health assessment.
