Dr Doug Sloan

Dr. Douglas B. Sloan began his career in the United States Army Medical Service Corps. Upon his retirement from the Army in 2006, Dr. Sloan joined the Veteran Affairs as an Administrator in the Geriatrics and Extended Care service at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Their mission is to “provide our Veterans and Caregivers support to sustain their Independence and Quality of Life.” He is also serving as an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix in the School of Business and Management, as well as Indiana Wesleyan University.

For 20 years, Dr. Sloan, along with his wife, served the Lord in the Army ministering as lay ministers in Chapel Services and other various duties. He also filled in for the local Army chaplain when the need arose. His wife also served as lay minister in the local post chapels culminating as the President of the Protestant Women of the Chapel Association. Dr. Sloan says, “My greatest joy is serving the Lord together with my wife and family!”

Dr. Sloan and his wife, Beth, have been married for 25 years and they have three children, Ben, Jacob, and Joshua. Dr. Sloan is very involved in his church, NewSong Christian Fellowship where he currently serves as an assistant Pastor, Life Group Leader, Servant Council Member, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Sponsor, Life School of Ministry instructor, and mentor.
