Matching Gift Program
The Matching Gift Program is an opportunity for you to double your giving impact without increasing your giving amount.
Over 8,000 companies provide matching gift dollars to charities their employees are supporting. Millions of dollars each year are directed to colleges, universities and other charities based on the contributions of individuals working for companies with matching gift programs.
To see if your employer will match your donation to IWU, contact your employer’s Human Resources Department or contact IWU at gifts@indwes.edu or 765-677-1439. We know what employers participate in the Matching Gift Program. If they do participate, all your employer will likely ask you to do is fill out a form and mail it to IWU with your donation. IWU and your employer will do the rest.

Church Matching Scholarship Gifts are Doubled!
Your $200 net contribution* to IWU in the name of your church could mean $1,600 in support to students from your church. Here's how!
When you are an Indiana resident and you donate $400 to IWU in the name of your church, and ask your employer to match your gift (Matching Gift Program), IWU will receive $800. IWU will then match your gift and your employer's gift under our Church Matching Scholarship Fund** with an additional $800, bringing the total applied to the accounts of students from your church to $1,600.
Then, when you file your taxes next year, apply for the Indiana Tax Credit and your tax debt will be reduced by $200, bringing your net contribution down to $200.
Complicated? Confused? Contact our Church Relations Office staff and they will be glad to answer any questions you may have. They will work with your employer and our student accounts office be make sure your church's students receive a $1,600 scholarship from your net gift of $200!
