Cecil MacLaren joined Indiana Wesleyan University in 2008. Cecil worked as Vice President in corporate banking for 26 years prior to changing professions and working for Spring Lake Wesleyan Church. At Spring Lake he served as the Director of Administration for 3 years, and has attended the church for the past 33 years.

Cecil has a BS from Grand Valley State University where he majored in Finance. He is actively serving on boards for two non-profit organizations, and serves on the District Board of Administration and is Treasurer for the West Michigan District of the Wesleyan Church in Michigan.

Cecil is married to Sharlene, a noted author and his wife of 33 years. They have two married daughters and three grandchildren. Cecil and Sharlene reside in Spring Lake, Michigan.
