Ballet Magnificat!
performing “Deliver Us!”
desperation…hope…freedom!
Watch the video clip!
Under the blazing Egyptian sun, enslaved Israelites cry out for a deliverer. Pharaoh’s oppressive regime of bondage is challenged as one man, Moses, attempts to free the people. His efforts are futile and fail to produce any change. Frustrated and ashamed Moses flees to the desert wasteland.
In the heat of the desert, Moses finds a hope that can never run dry – a trust in the Almighty Creator. Bolstered by the strength that only God can provide, he returns to Egypt, faces the corrupt Pharaoh and leads the Hebrew people to freedom – the people finally receiving their long-awaited deliverer.
The ballet shifts to transport the audience to a pivotal point in history to give them a glimpse of another Deliverer: Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Gripping! You will be drawn into a story that you will not soon forget!
Magnificat is Latin for “to magnify Him.” It’s derived from “Mary’s Song” of praise in the 1st Chapter of the Gospel of Luke when she first learned she was to be the mother of the Messiah. Ballet Magnificat! is an internationally touring arts organization dedicated to presenting the good news of Jesus Christ to the whole world.
