The Women of Lockerbie
By Deborah Brevoort
Directed by Senior Theatre Major Emily Tritl
Loosely based on the historical crash of the Pan Am 103, Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort
tells the story of a New Jersey mother who travels to Lockerbie, Scotland where
her son was killed in the plane crash seven years earlier. While there, she and her husband encounter a
group of Scottish women who exhibit love instead of hate in this time of
despair. Written in the poetic structure
of a Greek tragedy, it is a tale of love triumphing over hate in the aftermath
of a terrible tragedy.
