IWU to Honor Memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Several activities are planned at Indiana Wesleyan University during the week of Jan. 19-23 to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Robert Williams, a pastor from Augusta, Ga., whose daughter attends IWU, will speak on reconciliation at chapel services at 10 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. Monday in Phillippe Performing Arts Center. Rev. Larry Emmons, an ordained pastor who also is a Marion firefighter, will recite King's "I Have a Dream Speech" in both chapel services. An animated movie about the life of King, Our Friend Martin, will be shown at 4:30 p.m. Monday and at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Globe Theater in the IWU Student Center. There is no admission charge for the movie. Throughout the week, about 25 pastors and other African-American leaders from the Marion community will speak in various classes at IWU. Many of the speakers have been involved in the civil rights movement, nationally as well as locally. Latrese Moffitt, Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at IWU, is in charge of the activities being held to mark the 75th anniversary of King's birth.
