Dr. Martin was a model of excellence in the classroom where he set high standards for his students for nearly 40 years. More than 200 students came to IWU over the years specifically because they had become acquainted with Dr. Martin as he lectured around the world. The bonds that Dr. Martin established with his students endured long after they graduated. He was, in a very real sense, a mentor-for-life for generations of IWU graduates. Dr. Martin's teachings on a biblical Christian worldview had an incredible impact on hundreds of students who are living out the teachings and modeling of their mentor. While we mourn Dr. Martin's death, we celebrate his life and all that he contributed to his students, Indiana Wesleyan University and the building of God's Kingdom.

All of us at Indiana Wesleyan University are deeply saddened by the death of Dr. Glenn Martin. In recent weeks we have been greatly impressed by Dr. Martin's courage and determination to complete his spring semester teaching assignments, despite his ongoing battle with cancer.
