Poem by Michael Callaghan

Young Michael Callaghan (Chicago area) wrote the following poem shortly before he died of cancer. His father, who helped him finish this poem, handed it to me at a Christian Businessmen's breakfast at the Oaklawn Wesleyan Church (ca. 1983). Radio personality, David Maines, was the speaker. Not aware of the background and content of the poem, I filed this for several days before reading it. However, I can recall in vivid detail pulling this from my organizer and reading Michael's tribute to Christ for the first time. This poem has been shared to audiences nationally ever since. Thanks to the Callaghans for their testimony through Michael, and for sharing this poem.
