Why
IWU
John Jones
Assistant Vice President for Information
Technology UIT
Why I work at IWU…Our mission and
purpose is clear as an institution. Indiana Wesleyan is a Christ-centered
academic community and it is evident in all we do. Knowing that
makes going to work something to look forward to and to feel
like you are part of something bigger than just the area you
work in. It is truly a pleasure to work where you know God is
at the center of what we do and to know that He alone is why
we are blessed so much as an institution. I appreciate knowing
that each person working here supports the ideas and philosophy
promoted by the Wesleyan faith and these ideas carry into the
daily work ethic and attitude among our co-workers. The employees
at IWU are outstanding to work with and I can’t think
of any place I would rather be at this point in my life. I am
proud to say that I have been a part of this great organization
for 10 years.

Administrative Assistant to the
Dean, College of Adult and Professional Studies
Why I work at IWU. . . ."The best explanation of why
I work at IWU is simply because God provided a place for me.
The reason I stay at IWU is because of the 'family' I found
when I got here. It's a great feeling to be able to go to
work knowing that my coworkers love and care about me. That
far outweighs any little day-to-day frustrations that cross
my path."
Sarah Melford
Administrative Assistant to the
Vice President for Student Development
Why I work at IWU. . . I love working at IWU because it is a
Christian atmosphere and I can whole-heartedly support what
it represents.
Mike Cooper
Manager of Technical Services, Physical
Plant
Why I work at IWU. . . I returned to IWU after looking at several
options. I was intrigued by the offer of a challenging career
coupled with a Christ-like environment. Although the “challenge”
is greater than I ever imagined, the atmosphere has been a true
blessing. I take a great deal of pride in our organization,
from leadership to support, and am very honored to be a part
of this “World changing” campus.
Janice Adams
Associate Professor, Social Work
Why I work at IWU. . . I work at IWU because this is where God
has provided for me to serve. WOW! What an opportunity. God
continues to demonstrate his power and my growth as I teach,
mentor and serve students in an environment that encourages
personal and professional growth of students and faculty.
