Welcome
Message from the Director
Did you know that over 43% of undergraduates in the U.S. are over age 24?1
Did you know that the present number of traditional-aged college graduates is insufficient to replace retiring baby-boomers who have college degrees?2
Adult programs are the fastest growing sector in American higher education. Yet we have few tools to assess the outcomes of these programs.
At the Center for Research in Adult Learning, our goal is to serve Christian higher education by coordinating and disseminating research regarding adult student learning. If you are a faculty member or administrator at a CCCU institution that has adult-focused education programs, we hope you will participate in our projects and conferences. The information you will receive will enable you to improve enrollment, retention, and adult student learning.
Together we will build systems of excellence in adult learning that will make quality Christian higher education accessible to an increasing population of adult learners.
