Teaching Certificate ProgramsThe Teaching Certificate Programs provide an 18 credit hour post-baccalaureate program for teachers seeking additional content areas with respect to teaching licensure. Candidates completing the 18 credit hour program gain content and pedagogical content knowledge related to professional teaching standards for the content area in which they are seeking additional licensure. Prior to applying to the program, candidates are responsible for being knowledgeable of the licensure requirements of their state and whether or not IWU's Teaching Certificate Program will satisfy the requirements of the state in which they are seeking licensure. The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum as necessary.
