Life Calling Department

The Center for Life Calling and Leadership consists of the newly created Life Calling Research Institute and the University-wide Office of Career Development, both of which were established in 2012. Working closely with the School of Life Calling and Integrative Learning, the CLCL seeks to provide information and resources to promote life calling and vocational development for all IWU constituents. The mission of the Center is:

MISSION STATEMENT

To inform and guide the search for and pursuit of a higher purpose in life through an increased understanding of theory and practice related to life calling and vocational development throughout the lifespan of individuals.

We accomplish this mission by:

• working in cooperation with individuals, students, families and  institutions
• producing and disseminating original research
• providing the tools and resources that explore life calling and vocational development
• training researchers to advance the exploration of life calling and vocational development theory and practice
• developing partnerships with other organizations to promote excellence in theory and practice related to life calling and vocational development
