Rick Carder joined the Advancement team September 1st, 2006 as Alumni Relations Director of our Traditional Alum. He graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1987 and completed his Masters Degree in 2003. He was a Pastor in the Wesleyan Church for nineteen years. Additionally, he has served in community-based compassion ministries. His relational and ministry experience has brought a personal touch to our team. His responsibilities include making a connection with IWU Alumni. Rick has said, “The opportunity to build meaningful relationships with Alum of my alma mater is a wonderful privilege. I consider it an honor to serve my Lord in this capacity.”

He is married to Cindi (Rumsey) Carder (Marion College '85) and has three children (Jon, 17; Jeremiah, 14; Josslyn, 10). They live in Van Buren and attend the Brookhaven Wesleyan Church where they were married in 1987. His hobbies include family activities, collecting rare religious books and sipping coffee while fellowshipping with good friends.
