Have Questions?

Check out some FAQ's below. If you have additional questions feel free to contact your Admissions Counselor, we are here to help!

Are parents invited to these events?

Yes! Parents are invited to attend many of the scheduled New Student Registration activities with you, but there will also be some unique parent specific information throughout the day. The Wildcat Bash is designed specifically for you, the student only, so parents can enjoy a free evening while you party like a Wildcat! (Note: While we can house students on campus, we are unable to provide overnight housing for parents. Parents should arrange other accommodations for this event.)

Do I have to attend both events?

You are not required to, but we highly encourage it! The weekend has been specifically designed so that you can attend the Wildcat Bash and register for your classes with only one trip to campus! You must sign up by March 1st for the event(s) you plan to attend. In order to be eligible for New Student Registration, you must be accepted and we must receive your tuition deposit. Please contact the Admissions Office if you have any questions about eligibility.

What do I need to bring to spend the night?

You will be housed with a current IWU student in a residence hall so you can experience another aspect of life as a college student. We suggest that you plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and any items you need to get ready in the morning. If you are attending both events, please leave your overnight items in your car until the beginning of the Wildcat Bash.

What if I can’t attend this event?

There will be other opportunities for onsite registration May 16 and June 20, but this is a one-of-a-kind event. Registration for these events will be available after the Admitted Student Weekend.

Will there be food at these events?

Yes! It’s part of the college experience! The first meal will be lunch on Saturday, and we will offer food throughout the events. No need to worry about being hungry!

If I’m coming with a friend, can we stay in the same room?

Yes – as long as your friend is an accepted student and registered for the event! Because of the size of this event, we are unable to house additional guests on campus. Please indicate your roommate preference (if you have one) when you sign up online! If you forget, just make sure to let the Admissions Office know prior to March 1st if you have a specific housing request so that we can try to accommodate the request! Please call 765-677-6507 with any special housing needs.

Do I have to spend the night and participate in a time of worship with us Sunday morning?

You are not required to but we highly encourage it! We hope that you will plan to spend the night and participate in a time of worship Sunday morning.

What are the start and end times for this event?

If you are planning to attend New Student Registration and the Wildcat Bash you should plan to be on campus from 10:00 AM Saturday morning until approximately 11:30 Sunday morning.
