Interior Design

The Indiana Wesleyan University Interior Design major prepares students to meet the needs of clients by giving graduates a high level of design skills, critical thinking, problem solving, cultural awareness, and social responsibility. The program will help you develop a balance of technical and creative skills, knowledge of history, codes and standards, and the ability to communicate the visual and conceptual elements of a project.

The interior design program's mission is to provide a Christ-centered educational experience for the undergraduate, applying creative core competencies in the context of a global economy preparing the graduate for an entry-level interior design position. Discussions are woven throughout the courses that will challenge you to consider how the platform of Interior Design opens doors leading you to represent Christ through ethical business practices and integrity as you interact in the design world.

Through a well-rounded approach to Interior Design, our students learn how to successfully operate as designers in every aspect of the interior design industry. In addition, academic life at IWU emphasizes the interplay of the professional and personal realms of a student's life. Graduates will discover how the different facets of life can flow seamlessly together as they learn how to walk confidently in their skills as designers and as Christians.
