Revelation

Revelation painted by Rod Crossman

As visitors enter the Noggle Christian Ministry Center for the first time, they all react the same way. They fix their eyes on the wall 10 feet above the lobby to gaze at the 22-foot wide x 8-foot tall painting overhead.

This provocative painting entitled Revelation by artist-in-residence Rod Crossman took three years to complete, 1982-1984. Mr. Crossman stretched, hung and painted the canvas from the location where it currently hangs.

Mr. Crossman says about the painting, “We are both a physical and spiritual being, but often our spiritual eyes are shut, making it impossible to see the invisible yet eternal things around us.” He hopes the painting will be an inspiration for everyone to open their spiritual eyes to the battles taking place in the heavenly realms.

The mural is dedicated to his mother Victoria Crossman who was a constant inspiration and example of a Christian Warrior to Rod and all who knew her.

(Bit of trivia: If visitors look closely they might see “Lord” written in the sky and a prayer etched across the horizon.)
