Kem Hall is a suite, or pod, style residence hall that houses female transfer, sophomore, junior, and even some senior students. Students live in groups of four or eight, depending on the room, sharing a common living room and bathroom.
There are 10 residence life staff members and three other upperclassmen student leaders living in the hall, who provide learning and community development opportunities for the women of Kem throughout the year. Since the residents living in Kem come in knowing each other, the hall focuses on deepening existing relationships and challenging residents to step out beyond their comfort zones. Kem Hall has adopted theme housing with programming that will vary by floor. Programming themes for the year will include living and learning together; art, music, and media; local and global outreach; and healthy living.
