  • Kem Hall is a community where women journey together as a sisterhood rooted in the love of Christ; learning together what it means to be image-bearers of God in their relationships with one another and with the world.

  • Kem Hall is a suite, or pod, style residence hall that houses female transfer, sophomore, junior, and even some senior students. Students live in groups of four or eight, depending on the room, sharing a common living room and bathroom.

There are 10 residence life staff members and three other upperclassmen student leaders living in the hall, who provide learning and community development opportunities for the women of Kem throughout the year. Since the residents living in Kem come in knowing each other, the hall focuses on deepening existing relationships and challenging residents to step out beyond their comfort zones. Kem Hall has adopted theme housing with programming that will vary by floor. Programming themes for the year will include living and learning together; art, music, and media; local and global outreach; and healthy living.

‘It is my hope that the women of Kem Hall leave with a growing sense of identity, community, and wisdom; preparing them for life long after leaving IWU’

    Laura Bronsink portrait

I came to Indiana Wesleyan in the fall of 2009 with a passion to serve college students. I entered a Master’s program in Higher Education in an effort to better serve my students and to prepare for a continued career in this field. I consider it a high privilege to walk alongside these women in their college journey and to help support, challenge and grow them as they develop their identity in Christ while striving to gain both knowledge and wisdom.

Best ResLife memory from your college days:
Hard to choose. I would say staying up almost all night with my whole floor the last night of my first year of college all sorts of shenanigans.

Best thing about my job: Getting to know students and invest in their college experience.

Best thing about IWU: Definitely the people, and Kem!
