The members of our Spanish Education faculty are drawn both from our foreign language and teacher education areas. They are excellent teachers whose love for education, the Spanish language, and Spanish culture is contagious.
Krista Bruenjes is an alumna of Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating with a B.A. in Spanish in 2007. During her time as a student, she helped to found La Amistad Hispánica, IWU’s Spanish club, and is now serving as co-advisor. She has a passion for the Spanish language and Spanish-speaking cultures. She is excited that God has blessed her with the opportunity to return to her alma mater to develop this passion within her students as well.
Krista Bruenjes received her M.A. in Spanish from California State University of Sacramento in January 2012. This program was completed entirely abroad, allowing her to spend her summers studying in Valladolid, Spain; Antigua, Guatemala; and Arequipa, Peru. Professor Bruenjes plans to enroll in a doctoral program that will allow her to explore the areas of Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Aquisition, with a special eye on the influence of immersion and study abroad programs.
