A Public Policy degree provides an understanding of policy process in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors at both the domestic and international levels. Students focus on skill formation and applied knowledge as they gain analytical, management, research, and problem-solving skills that are transferable across sectors and issue areas. Graduates have an edge in the job market and can move more easily between different career positions.
IWU’s Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Policy program is multidisciplinary in nature. Our student training draws upon tools from the arts and humanities, behavioral sciences, education, natural and physical sciences, nursing, and social sciences. Students may also choose to earn an Associate of Science degree for quick entry into the workforce and a foundation for further education, or to minor in Public Policy as a supplement to another IWU major.
