Biography

Will Carpenter is a passionate painter and educator. He came to IWU from Miami, Florida, where he earned his M.F.A., studied painting under Walter Darby Bannard, and worked for glass artist Bill Carlson. Carpenter has painted in South America and met his wife on his first trip to Ecuador.

Interests

Will Carpenter displays his paintings in various venues both locally and nationally. He has judged art shows, won prizes for his paintings, and had his work published. The theme of many of his paintings and drawings centers around depicting suburban landscapes so that they subtly reveal the presence of God.
