Children's Ministry
PREPARING TO SERVE CHILDREN IN THE CHURCH—AND BEYOND
Indiana Wesleyan University’s Bachelor of Science with a major in Children’s Ministry degree will prepare you to serve in a church staff position such as director of children’s ministries, in various para-church organizations that serve the needs of children, or in church-related preschools and day care centers. Many students double major in Christian Education, Intercultural Studies, or another area of study to augment their training. If you are interested in the children’s ministries of the church, then this major is for you.
The IWU Children’s Ministry program will launch you into a life of world-changing service, providing experiential learning opportunities with a specific focus on practical ministry theory as well as skills.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY MINOR
A minor in Children's Ministry consists of 24 credit hours of carefully selected courses to enable you to augment your major degree with a solid foundation in children’s ministry.
Students may also choose to earn an Associate of Science degree for quick entry into the workforce and a foundation for further education.
