Professors with professional experience

Each faculty member in the Division of Business teaches courses in some facet of Business Administration and claims at least 10 years of experience working in the field of business. These professionals have worked for Fortune 500 companies and businesses listed in the 35 largest U.S. private companies. A glance at their résumés reveals that many IWU professors have either launched their own companies or consulted regularly with businesses around the world-or both!

Kent Williams; MBA, CPA Asst Prof; Business kent.williams@indwes.edu Department - Accounting Division - Business


Kent has been a full-time faculty member in the Division of Business since the fall of 1995. His main areas of teaching responsibilities include accounting, entrepreneurship and business ethics. After completing an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation from Ball State University, he was instrumental in developing and launching the Entrepreneurship major at IWU in the fall of 2005. Prior to his tenure at IWU, he held several corporate accounting and tax positions.

Kent is the chair of the Indiana CPA Society’s Ethics Committee and serves on the Leadership Cabinet. He is also a member of the AICPA and USASBE (United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship). At the 2008 annual GCEC Conference (Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers), he chaired the panel on Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy. Over the last several years, he has presented at financial conferences on ethics, related to the accounting profession.
