Certificate in Church Planting & Multiplication
12 credit hours
At Wesley Seminary, we are firm believers that new churches and fresh expressions of the gospel will always be an essential strategy to reaching those who don’t know Jesus Christ. We also believe that the Seminary’s role is to help mobilize and equip the local church; therefore, we are committed to encouraging and equipping church planters and multiplying pastors. We believe the Certificate in Church Planting and Multiplication will provide leaders with the necessary knowledge, experience, skills, and confidence in order to initiate new churches, sites, and venues within many diverse cultures across the globe.
“ When I think about church planting and church multiplication, I don’t think about new signs, services, and satellites — I think about lost souls who don’t know the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. This certificate is intentionally designed to help audacious leaders discover the best church multiplication practices, strategies, and resources. We hope leaders will be better prepared, equipped, and networked to remain healthy and whole, while reaching people who are far from God.”
Dr. Ed Love, Church Planter, network strategist, and catalyst of the Certificate in Church Planting and Multiplication
The Certificate in Church Planting & Multiplication consists of four courses designed to train multiplication minded churches, pastors, and current or future planters. Whether you plan to start a new church, a new campus, or even a new venue, this program will help you:
- Develop practical skills needed to plant a new church, campus, or venue.
- Become familiar with the preeminent resources in church multiplication.
- Determine a framework for exegeting a specific culture and context.
- Develop an extensive vision and strategic plan document for a future initiative.
- Acquire an enhanced knowledge in the theology and praxis of church multiplication.
All of this while completing 12 hours of graduate credit. Upon completing all four courses you will receive a certificate of completion from the Dean. The courses are also open to those who do not want the entire certificate program but would like to only take one, two or three of the courses. To register for a certificate course please contact email@example.com or call 877-673-0009.
“The new Certificate in Church Planting and Multiplication is just another helpful way Wesley Seminary is advancing the church through the intentional and strategic development of mission-driven church planters. I'm excited to see the seminary focused on the church and its mission!”
