Meet the RD | Nuk Kongkaw

"My desire is to see the University Court to be an intentional community that seeks to build one another up and support healthy marriages. I want to encourage my residents to actively seek fellowship with one another and help create and shape University Court. Through fellowshipping with others, my residents will be able to gain the skills necessary for impacting their future communities in their next season of life."

As a missionary kid and third-culture kid who has spent equal parts growing up in Texas and Thailand, later studying my undergrad in upstate New York, and then teaching middle school for three years in China, I have found that ‘home’ is anywhere you make connections and friends. My experiences have shaped a passion for seeking growth in the lives of those around me. My desire is to help shape and develop communities that will encourage and empower the residents.

Hometown: Chiang Mai, Thailand
Colleges Attended: Houghton College (Undergrad) and Indiana Wesleyan University (Graduate)
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Studies and TESOL, and pursing a Master’s Degree in Student Development Counseling and Administration
Best ResLife memory:
As an RA at Houghton, we had an RA initiation night scavenger hunt for my hall. This was definitely a highlight, as well as Nerf gun wars.
Best thing about my job:
The fact that I am paid to hang out with awesome students and get the opportunity to invest in their lives.
Best thing about IWU:
The community.

Community Outreach

Annual Block Party with the Marion community every spring. The event will feature live music, catered food, and prize give-aways. For children, it will feature face painting, yard games, and more! The Block Party is free to the public and all IWU students, faculty, and staff.
