Becket Hall Occupancy

Beckett Hall West (BHW) is the upperclassmen wing of Beckett Hall. It houses 180 sophomores, juniors and seniors. Because it is a mentoring hall, 60 of these residents mentor two of the incoming freshmen living on Eastside.

For those residents who decide against being a formal mentor, BHW offers many opportunities to be involved in other ways. In order to incorporate the mentoring aspect beyond just the mentor/mentee relationship, we seek to promote growth and community in our residents through regular Beckett Hall programs and sister unit events.

Beckett Hall is a mentoring community in which residents are committed to pursuing Christ passionately, challenged to grow holistically, encouraged to support one another daily, and motivated to learn continually.

Meet the RD | Leslie Huston

Becket Hall West RD

"My desire is for the women of Beckett Hall to be challenged to grow holistically in their time here; to become women of passion and conviction as they go out into the world."

Although originally from the Pacific Northwest, my wife and I settled into Scripture Hall in 2012. Having previously worked in college student success, missions, and youth ministry, I'm thrilled to serve here as Resident Director. It's a huge honor to have the opportunity to guide and serve the young men of this community during such a transformational time of life.

Community Outreach

At Colonial Oaks, residents of Beckett Hall embrace the opportunity to connect to the community by ministering to the elderly. They gain wisdom and insight as they serve and are mentored by the residents there.

Building History

Beckett Hall was completed the summer of 2007. While one building, there are actually two halls. Eastside houses freshmen women while Westside houses sophomores -seniors. The hall was built in order to purposefully foster mentoring relationships between first-time residents and returning students. Beckett Hall is part of the East Village and mirrors its brother hall, South Hall Complex.
