Grandparents' Day
Indiana Wesleyan University will be hosting its 10th annual Grandparents' Day on September 19, 2008.
The purpose of Grandparents’ Day is to pay tribute to the special relationships that exist between grandchildren, grandparents or adoptive grandparents. It is a celebration of the family relationships with which God has blessed us. It is also a day for grandparents to see first hand what college life for their grandchild is like.
A full day of activities are planned. The day begins with registration and a continental breakfast at the Phillippe Performing Arts Center. Next is a grandparent informational meeting at the Phillippe Performing Arts Center (PPAC). Grandparents will attend chapel with their student. Lunch and free time is scheduled from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. During this time grandparents will be encouraged to attend class with their grandchild, tour residence halls, or stroll the grounds of our beautiful campus. Back by popular demand is the Grandparents' Day Variety Show, which will be presented at 1:30pm at the PPAC. The talents of IWU faculty, staff and students will be on display! Grandparents Day officially ends after the Variety Show.
