The 2012 Indiana Wesleyan University Telesale raised $62,519 - compared to $58,718 a year ago. The telesale aired live January 31 through February 2 from the studios of WIWU-TV on the IWU campus.
The three-night telecast generated $52,072 from the sales of merchandise and from sponsorships. The additional $9,447 came from a first-ever online auction that ran for seven days.
The first telesale aired in January 1996, and the event has raised more than $1.6 million over the years for student scholarships. Local businesses and other friends of the University donate the merchandise that is sold.
