Cheryl Malone, Regional Director of New Market Development for Adult Enrollment Services at Indiana Wesleyan University, was honored as one of the “Top 25 Women to Watch” at the annual Women in Business Networking Gala in Dayton, Ohio, on February 12, 2011. Jeanne Porter, President of Women in Business Networking, commented that “Cheryl underscores the critical role that intelligence, perseverance and relationships play among the influential women of the Miami Valley.”
Janet Friese, Executive Director of New Market Initiatives for Adult Enrollment Services, said, “This was a significant event that was attended by government officials and high profile business leaders. It was a huge honor that Cheryl was selected as one of the top 25 Women to Watch in Miami Valley. I am so very proud of her.”
Malone has worked at Indiana Wesleyan University since 2006. In her Regional Director role, she develops relationships and establishes strategic partnerships with businesses, hospitals, schools and professional associations in Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, and with military communities throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Before joining IWU, Cheryl served for 21 years as an Air Force Officer both at the Pentagon and at bases stateside and overseas.
Adult Enrollment Services recruits students for Indiana Wesleyan University’s Adult Learning and leadership programs. These programs are designed for working adults who wish to pursue or complete a college education at one of IWU’s regional education centers or learning sites located throughout Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, or online. Programs are offered in Business and Technology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Educational Leadership, General Studies, Nursing, Organizational Leadership, and Ministry.
