Journey to Success
We know coming to college can be an exhilarating and nerve-racking experience all at the same time. That’s why at IWU, your fellow college friends are here to help!
Journey to Success is a peer-mentoring program designed to assist incoming freshmen living in North Hall Complex East and South Hall Complex East with the transition from high school to college. Each student assigned to live in NHC East or SHC East is matched with an upperclassman peer mentor (a.k.a. Journey Mentor) who resides in NHC West or SHC West.
The Journey Mentor will not only serve as a guide, resource, big brother/sister and friend throughout the first year of college, but will also help with growth in character, scholarship and leadership. This unique living option provides first-year students the opportunity to live among fellow freshmen adjusting to college life as well as experience the support of a trained upper-class peer mentor. It’s college help that’s just down the hall!
