If you are ready to study the inner workings of an amazing world, you will find this facility well-equipped. Designed with science and nursing students in mind, Burns Hall offers high-tech equipment, clinical training suites and modern laboratories on its three floors — one devoted to the Pre-licensure Nursing Division and the others devoted to the Division of Natural Sciences. The Nursing floor includes a simulated Intensive Care Unit, two practice rooms (four-bed and eight-bed), a medication room, a nursing multimedia classroom, four private medical surgical rooms and ten physical assessment exam rooms. The Division of Natural Sciences includes classrooms, teaching labs, dissection space, research labs, instrumentation labs, a terraced lecture hall and plenty of space for collaborative study.
Burns Hall is located on the northwest corner of IWU’s campus between South Washington and South Selby Streets, near Noggle Christian Ministries Center, the Barnes Student Center and Williams Prayer Chapel, immediately adjacent and connected to Elder Hall. From the intersection of South Washington and East 38th Streets, travel south one block on South Washington and turn into the large parking lot on the left (east). Burns Hall is on the south side of the lot.
Ample parking is available immediately north of Burns Hall next to Elder Hall.
