U on a Diet
"U on a Diet" is a 6-week weight loss challenge for IWU employees and their spouses. The cost is FREE and registration is on January 18. If you are interested in participating in the program, come to the RWC between 6am and 8am, 11am and 1pm, or 4:30pm and 5:30pm on that Monday. Weigh-ins will be conducted every week, but you are only required to weigh in at the beginning and the end. We will be providing participants with tips, workout routines, and recipes each week during the challenge. Those who have lost 5 pounds or more will earn themselves a t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for more prizes. Those that have lost over 10 pounds will be entered into a grand prize drawing.

 

Freshman Beat the 15
A challenge which was designed to raise awareness to first-year students of wellness and fitness they have at IWU that can lead to a healthy and active lifestyle. Stay tuned for more information.

 

Group Fitness
NEW!! The IWU community now has an opportunity to participate in Turbo Kick ® group fitness classes. Classes are currently held during the regular school year at 6 am on Mondays and Wednesdays, or 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

Personal Training
IWU has student trainers available to you!

  • All skill levels welcome
  • Trainers available for both students, faculty/staff, and spouses

What Can a Personal Trainer Do for You?

  • Design a personalized exercise program to meet the client's goals.
  • Assist the client in minimizing injury during each workout session.
  • Provide the client with motivation and accountability.
  • Provide resistance training instruction.
  • Provide cardiovascular instruction.
  • Provided workouts that are time efficient.
  • Provide workouts that assist the client in achieving results.

Initial Assessment The first appointment assesses your current fitness state, personal goals, and the motivation level needed to be successful. May include body composition, flexibility, and muscular strength and endurance testing.

Approximately 20 minutes.
Price: FREE (with the purchase of sessions)
        $10 without sessions

  • Package 100
    You and a Partner meet with trainer 3 days a week for 4 weeks
  • Package 60
    You meet with the trainer 3 days a week for 4 weeks
  • Package 25
    A one hour workout session to design a workout plan to meet your needs
