Welcome to The Learning Academy

The Learning Academy is a unique faculty development program.  It offers every Indiana Wesleyan faculty member opportunities to explore and practice effective approaches to teaching and learning.  This is accomplished through formal courses, mentorship relationships, and scholarly research. The Academy also houses a growing body of readily available courses, webinars, workshops, publications, and a variety of online resources to encourage and support excellent teaching practices throughout the university.

The success of Indiana Wesleyan University hinges on the knowledge and instructional skills of its faculty members.  Because the University draws its experts from a variety of fields, not all faculty members have experience or training in the scholarship of 'teaching and learning'.  Even those who are experienced educators know how important it is to collaborate with fellow faculty and to reflect on their current instructional practice. The Learning Academy provides a unique venue where these kinds of interactions can occur.
